You can get addicted to a certain kind

This song has been stuck in my head (and in the head of every member of this household) for a while now. My eyes have been glued as well. I love this song. I love their style.

Random and irrelevant observations:
1. The girl reminds me of the following people – Scarlett Johanssen, upper part of the face; Jennifer Garner, the blonde girl from The Paradiso Girls and Bianca King, lower part of the face.
2. The long-haired guy is fierce I love the agitation on his face when he sings. I want to give him something to punch as he belts out.
3. The third guy from the left reminds me of James Franco. I love his voice, it’s husky and manly.
4. The bearded guy looks os adorable in a strange way hehehe makes me want to hug him. He reminds me of Zach Galifianakis. See 0:53-1:08 of the video hehehe love his part there, with finger-flicking pa ♥

Here’s the original version by Gotye:

I love it. Thank you for this music, Wouter De Backer.

Fake Iya and fake Mix on Facebook

Today I got a message that goes:

So I clicked on the links and saw the following:

I clicked some more and saw amusing stuff. These two gave us a pretty good laugh here in the office:

1. An exchange of comments between FAKE IYA and FAKE MIX

2. The effort to erase the watermark by ambushing my hair

A reader’s comment re poser destinyg888

Last November 25, 2011 I posted an entry about this perverted poser with YM username destinyg888 that I learned about through a friend. Here’s the link to that post – click if you haven’t read it yet: Destinyg888 Case #2

If you read it already and know what it’s about, just check out this comment from a reader for added awareness.

This isn’t just about me and my posers but the existence of online posers as a whole and the nuisance it causes. There are people who are really active when it comes to online interaction with strangers and if you are one of them, it’s your choice. But please just be wary of the people you chat with and their intentions. Again, walang manloloko kung walang nagpapaloko.

Help stop fraudulence in your own way.

Button down day

I like wearing crisp button downs when I’m feeling androgynous. I think too much androgyny actually made me look like a boy in this photo.

Photobucket

On my way to the office that day, I stepped out of the room and saw my brother wearing a crisp button down top as well. I seriously think that if I were a boy, I’d look like this:

Photobucket

Amusing that we wore the same thing that day but a bit heart-breaking that he’s all grown up already. Jumajaporms na.

P.S. Because I am pro-Philippine made/ pro-LOCAL, I will state that my brother’s shoes (in photo) are from Flying Dutchman Shoes. During the Zonta Bazaar at Alabang last year (2011), all three brothers of mine bought several pairs to share. We love them!

03.12.12 post: My 1st batch of H♥N goodies

I heard about Human Nature some time last year but I started trying their products just last month. I got to try their Flame Tree Tinted Lip Balm first because my sister gave me one last January. I ended up using it by chance one Friday night when I had no lip product inside my purse and saw it on my desk and grabbed it on my way out. I’m not into make up that much and by that I mean I just use the basics – face powder and lip balm when necessary (a.k.a when my face is shining like the sun thanks to its oiliness and when my lips are chapped and pale which makes me look sick).

That night I used Human Nature’s Flame Tree Tinted Lip Balm, I loved how it gave color to my face. I used just that and I felt like I had full make up on already. Hehe tamad lang kasi talaga mag make up. Here’s a photo from that night:

Photobucket

I just realized today that I haven’t been using face powder and it hasn’t been bothering me because to my delight, my face hasn’t been that oily. I hate sounding fanatic but honest-to-goodness I think using Human Nature’s 100% Natural Hydrating Face Wash with Moringa and Aloe Vera has helped in making my skin less oily and blotchy. That’s from my 2nd batch, will write about that next time.

Today I had nothing on my face aside from the tinted lip balm. I tried taking decent photos of myself pero mahirap pala. So kudos to ardent make up bloggers.

Here are a few shots of myself taken this afternoon wearing my favorite of the three Human Nature Tinted Lip Balm shades:

The two other Tinted Lip Balm shades are Island Kiss and Pink Orchid. They’re on the light pink side. Flame Tree is the darkest but it still looks natural.

The three other items from my first batch of Human Nature goodies are the Citronella Bug Spray, Sunflower Beauty Oil, and Hand Sanitizer.

Photobucket
This bug spray is perfect for two-time dengue patients like me as well as anybody who doesn’t want to have a first encounter with dengue.

Photobucket
Citronella Bug Spray – 100 ml PhP 159.75, 50 ml PhP 99.75

If you’re not fond of using oil-based protective skin care, you can try their Bug Shield Lotion which is also 100% natural and DEET-free – 50 ml PhP 94.75

Photobucket
This beauty oil is a must-have! This potion helps minimize dark circles and lighten stretch marks as well as underarms. You can also use it on your elbows and knees and on your hair for added shine! This oil has so many uses, it is super sulit.
Sunflower Beauty Oil – 100 ml PhP 249.75, 50 ml PhP 129.75

Photobucket
If you dislike sticky hand sanitizers that feel like they leave dirt on your hands more than actually sanitizing them, you’ll love this sugarcane and watermelon scented hand sanitizer. It glides like gel but dries on your hands like alcohol minus the tight feeling.
Hand Sanitizer – 50 ml PhP 77.75

I am now in love with Human Nature because of two things: 1) their reasonably priced effective products and (ultimately) 2) their advocacy. I shall write more about that next time.

More posts on Human Nature this week. In the mean time, check out their website: humanheartnature.com

03.05.12 post

This may be the most boring post ever but anyway, I just got home from the office and all I can say is this day was a very productive one and I am very thankful for the opportunity to work and do what I love with people I love while learning lots of things in the process. Everyday is indeed a fresh start because each waking day is another chance to learn something new and push ourselves to be better people than the ones we were the day before. As I always say, God is good and life is beautiful.

Let’s use each day to create beautiful things in every form possible.

First post for 2012

The past weeks have been emotional roller coasters and mental + physical exhaustion but they were amazing and memorable nonetheless! Apologies for the cyberspace hiatus – all I can say now is it’s good to be back! Weeks and weeks of preparation for a fabulous start of 2012 were definitely worth it. At the end of the day, we count only blessings and we whisper only thank yous ♥ God is good and la vita e bella!

Victoria Beckham on WhoWhatWear

I saw this today on WhoWhatWear and I got so excited seeing this piece on Victoria Beckham.

The first time I saw this item a few months ago together with the other ones (from the same collection) similar to this style, I immediately fell in love. I was delighted with the relaxed silhouettes and how everything looked so effortless but still put together.

Victoria Beckham will always be one of my style icons not because I adjust my style to hers but because I reckon we have an affinity for the same styles of clothes, shoes, and hair. My pixie cut days were all because of her. And how joyful (in a very shallow way) it is for me that we have the same hairstyle to date—this time I didn’t do it on purpose. We’re really soul mates. Kilig.
